The home coming

Jesus told us that he would come back for His believers.

He will come for His faithful, both dead and alive.

In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
John 14:2-3

Beloved, now we are children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
1 John 3:2

We are told that believers who have died will be resurrected.

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of God.  And the dead in Christ shall rise first.
1 Thessalonians 4:16

Paul told us that believers alive at the end will not die physically.

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And so we shall ever be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:17

For our citizenship is in heaven, from where also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus the Christ, who will transform the body of our humiliation, that it may be fashioned like to his glorious body...
Phillipians 3:20-21

And possibly my favorite, from Jesus himself.

Jesus said to her (Martha), I AM the resurrection, and the life; he that believes in me, though he may die, yet he shall live (future tense).  And whoever is alive (present tense) and believes in me shall not die in that age.  Do you believe this?
John 11:25-26
